If you suspect your child has symptoms of COVID infection or has been exposed to COVID, please call our office during business hours to schedule a virtual telemedicine appointment with one of our providers. If your child meets requirements for COVID testing during virtual visit, you will be provided instructions for testing.
COVID Testing at Pediatric Health Center of Conyers:
COVID testing is performed outside of the building as a drive-thru service Monday - Thursday between 12:00pm- 1:00pm. To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, if you suspect your child has COVID or has been exposed to COVID, we are unable to examine them in office at this time but are happy to assess their condition with a virtual visit. If you believe your child requires an examination that can not be assessed during a virtual appointment, please consider taking them to your nearest urgent care or emergency room facility.
When do I need to take my child to the emergency room?
As always, if your child is experience life threatening symptoms, please seek immediate medical attention.
If your child is experiencing warning signs that indicate they may have serious complications related to COVID-19, you should seek immediate care from the emergency department or by calling 911.
These signs may include:
- Blue coloring in the face or lips
- Chest pain and pressure
- Confusion
- Difficulty breathing
- Inability to wake up or stay awake
